Refund & Layaway Policy

1. About Our Layaway Plan

Daval Jewelry offers a flexible layaway plan that allows customers to reserve any product in our store with an initial deposit and pay the remaining balance over a period of up to 3 months. No credit check is required, and no interest or fees are charged.

Any deposit amount is accepted to reserve a product
Payments can be made weekly, biweekly, or monthly
The price of the product is locked from the date of reservation — no increases
The product is held in our store until the balance is paid in full
The product is released to the customer only when the full balance reaches $0

2. Cancellation Policy

If a customer wishes to cancel their layaway at any time — regardless of when the cancellation occurs — the following policy applies:

All layaway payments are non-refundable. This applies from the date of the first payment, including the initial deposit. Cancellations at any point — whether the next day or within the 3-month period — are not eligible for a cash refund.

Store Credit: Upon cancellation, all payments made will be converted to store credit, valid toward the purchase of any product available at Daval Jewelry. Store credit does not expire.

3. Expired Layaway

If a layaway is not completed within the 3-month period and no payment arrangement has been made, the layaway will be considered cancelled and the following applies:

The reserved product will be returned to general inventory
All payments made will be converted to store credit
The customer will be notified before the layaway expires

If you need additional time beyond the 3-month period, please contact us before your layaway expires — we will do our best to accommodate your situation.

4. Online Layaway Payments

Customers may make layaway installment payments online through our secure payment page, powered by Stripe. The following conditions apply to online payments:

New York State Sales Tax of 8.875% applies to all card payments
No sales tax is charged on cash payments made in store
Online payments require a valid invoice number, customer name, phone number, and reservation date
Minimum online payment: $10.00
Online payments are processed securely by Stripe — no card data is stored on our website

If you made an online payment in error or have a dispute, please contact us immediately at (718) 779-0881 before initiating a chargeback with your bank. We are happy to resolve any payment issues directly.

5. Product Exchanges & In-Store Returns

Daval Jewelry does not sell products online. All sales are made in person at our store located at 4040 82nd Street, Elmhurst, Queens, NY 11373.
